Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
FieldShot ("the app", "we", "us") is a free GPS field camera for iOS and Android published by Webgrup, Türkiye. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and what choices you have.
In Short
- Webgrup (the developer) does not collect, store or receive any data about you. Everything stays on your device.
- FieldShot has no accounts, no sign-up and no servers of ours. The app never connects to a Webgrup server: there are no analytics, no remote configuration and no update checks.
- Your photos, videos, location, notes and projects stay only on your device.
- Three third-party services are involved, each under its own privacy policy: Google AdMob (ads), your device's address lookup service (Apple on iOS, Google on Android) and map providers (Apple Maps on iOS, Google Maps on Android).
- The app has no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Who Is Responsible
FieldShot is published by Webgrup, Türkiye. Contact: [email protected]. Because Webgrup receives no personal data through the app, we are not the data controller for any data about you. The third parties named in this policy process data under their own privacy policies and responsibilities.
Data That Stays on Your Device
The following is created and stored locally in the app's own storage on your device:
- photos and videos you capture, with the stamp (coordinates, address, date and time, compass heading, altitude, tilt) drawn onto them;
- location and sensor readings saved with each photo or video (for example in the EXIF data of a photo);
- your projects, client names, notes and settings;
- exported files (KML, KMZ, CSV, PDF), which are created on your device and handed to the share sheet you choose.
If you turn on the option to save to your photo library, copies are also written to the Photos app (iOS) or the gallery (Android). We cannot see, access or recover any of this data. If you delete the app, the data stored inside it is deleted by the operating system.
Permissions and Why We Ask
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Camera | Capture photos and videos. |
| Microphone | Record sound in videos. Not used for photos. |
| Location (only while the app is in use) | Stamp coordinates, address and altitude on photos and videos and write them to the photo's EXIF data. The app does not track you in the background. |
| Motion sensors (compass, tilt) | Stamp the compass heading and device tilt. |
| Photo library (add only) | Save your stamped photos and videos to your photo library, if you choose to. |
| App tracking (iOS) | Only to show more relevant ads. See "Advertising". |
You can refuse or revoke any permission in your device settings. Without location permission the app still works, but the stamp contains no position.
Location, Address Lookup and Maps
Your location is read only while the app is open and is used for the stamp and for EXIF data. To turn coordinates into a street address, the app uses your device's reverse geocoding service: Apple on iOS and Google on Android. The coordinate is sent to that provider, which handles it under its own privacy policy. We do not receive it. Map views use Apple Maps on iOS and Google Maps on Android, which may process your map requests and device information under their own terms.
We Do Not Collect Data
The app does not send any data to servers operated by Webgrup. Specifically, the app has:
- no accounts, user profiles or logins;
- no usage analytics, no identifiers of our own and no crash reports sent to us;
- no remote configuration and no version checks;
- no cloud storage or upload of your photos, videos, locations, notes or projects.
Only the third-party services described in this policy receive data from the app, and only as described.
Advertising
FieldShot is free and shows ads through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and ad interaction data to deliver, measure and limit ads, and to prevent fraud. For details on how Google uses data, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites .
- iOS: the app asks for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you decline, only non-personalized ads are shown.
- EU/EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland: a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) asks for your choice before personalized ads. You can change your choice later in the app's Settings.
- Rewarded ads: you may optionally watch a rewarded ad to unlock a premium template or to remove the watermark from one PDF. This is always your choice.
Webgrup receives no data from advertising. We only see aggregated advertising reports from Google (such as impressions and earnings), which do not identify you. We do not send your photos, locations or notes to advertisers.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share photos, videos or locations with anyone, because we do not have them. Data leaves your device only in these cases:
- Third-party services described above: Apple or Google (address lookup, maps) and Google AdMob (ads). They may process data in countries other than yours under their own safeguards and policies.
- Your own actions: when you export or share a file, it goes to the app or person you pick. Once shared, their privacy rules apply.
Legal Bases
Webgrup does not process personal data about you, so we rely on no legal basis of our own. For processing that takes place on your device and at third parties:
- Camera, microphone, location, motion and photo permissions: your consent, given through the system permission prompt. You can withdraw it in your device settings.
- Personalized advertising: your consent (ATT, UMP), on which Google relies. You can change it at any time.
- Address lookup and maps: processed by Apple or Google as providers of the device functions you use, under their own policies.
Retention
Content on your device stays until you delete it or delete the app. Webgrup keeps no personal data. For data held by Google or Apple, see their policies.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR (EEA), the UK GDPR, the KVKK (Türkiye, Law No. 6698), the CCPA/CPRA (California) and the LGPD (Brazil). These include access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, withdrawal of consent, and complaint to a supervisory authority.
Because Webgrup holds no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. You stay in control yourself:
- Delete your data: delete the app (this removes everything stored in it) and delete copies saved in your Photos or gallery.
- Change ad choices: use the consent option in Settings, the iOS tracking setting, or your Android advertising settings (reset or delete the advertising ID). For data Google processes for ads, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and your Google account's ad settings.
- Ask us: email [email protected] with any question. We reply within 30 days.
California residents: we do not sell personal information for money. Ads served by Google may count as "sharing" or targeted advertising under some US state laws. You can limit this by declining tracking or personalization as described above.
Children
FieldShot is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Your content is stored only on your device and is protected by your device's own security (passcode, encryption). The app does not transmit it to us. No method is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we will give notice in the app or on this page.
