Privacy Policy — iMote Last updated: July 2026
iMote ("the App") is developed by Webgrup. This policy explains what information the App handles and how.
WHAT WE COLLECT
- The App does not require an account and does not collect your name, email, or any personal identifiers on our own servers — we don't run a backend; the App has no server component.
- Local network devices: TV names, IP addresses, and pairing tokens you connect to are stored only on your device (local storage), to let the App reconnect without asking again. This data never leaves your phone.
- Advertising: the App uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the IDFA) and usage data to serve ads, including personalized ads if you grant permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can decline this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
- We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or health data.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
- Google AdMob (Google LLC) — see Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
LOCAL NETWORK ACCESS The App requests Local Network permission on iOS to discover and control TVs on your Wi-Fi. This permission is used solely for that purpose and no network scan data is sent off your device.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY iMote is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
YOUR CHOICES
- You can disable ad tracking anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
- You can remove any paired TV from Devices at any time.
- Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
