Tactora Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
Tactora: Chess Puzzles ("Tactora", "the app") is a chess puzzle app published by Webgrup, Türkiye. This policy explains what data is processed when you use it.
1. No account, no server
Tactora does not require an account, and we do not run a server that receives your data. We do not collect your name, e-mail address or any other personal information.
2. Your progress stays on your device
Your solved puzzles, rating, streak, statistics and settings are stored only on your device, in the app's storage that is shared with the Tactora widget. They are never sent to us or to anyone else, and they are not shared with advertisers or with the ad SDK. Tactora does not use your location, camera, contacts or photos. Deleting the app deletes this data.
3. Built-in puzzles
The puzzles are built into the app, so solving them needs no internet connection and sends nothing anywhere. Puzzles from the Lichess puzzle database (https://database.lichess.org), released under CC0.
4. Widget and notifications
The widget reads the daily puzzle and your streak from the app's local storage on the device. The daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. The app asks for notification permission only when you turn the reminder on, and you can change it any time in iOS Settings.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Tactora is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob: a short full-screen ad between some puzzles, an optional rewarded ad you can watch to get an extra hint, and a banner on screens without a board. Your puzzles, rating and progress are never passed to the ad SDK or to Google. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and use data such as your IP address (approximate location), device and app identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic information to deliver ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud. Google acts as an independent controller for this data; see Google's policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Tactora does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission and does not access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). Tactora does not track you across other companies' apps and websites.
6. Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform is shown before ads are requested. Your choice is stored on your device, and you can review or change it in the app's Settings.
7. Your rights (KVKK and GDPR)
Because we do not hold your personal data, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For data processed by Google, you can use Google's tools and exercise your rights under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Article 11) and, where applicable, the GDPR. You may also contact us at [email protected].
8. Children
Tactora is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be noted in the app or on this page.
